    About Arukah Christian Counseling

    Why did we choose Arukah?

Arukah is a Hebrew word that means God’s restoration or healing. It is our hope that we can be a catalyst of healing in peoples lives.

    Our Mission

Arukah Christian Counseling exists to help each person experience healing within their mind, body, and spirit by empowering them to embrace life with hope and purpose. In hopes of achieving this, we will listen to each person with acceptance, dignity, and respect while offering holistic, professionally licensed, and evidence-based therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families.

    Key Values

    Healing:

“For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the LORD…” Jeremiah 30:17(ESV).

God’s intent for his people is to be well. He wants to restore us into His image. Throughout the gospels we read how healing was the centerpiece of Jesus’ ministry. God’s healing goes beyond just spiritual but includes physical, mental, and emotional. As we strive to experience healing in our lives through various counseling methods, it is important to remember Jehovah-Rapha; the God who heals.

    Hope:

Romans 15:13 (ESV) “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holly Spirit you may abound in hope.”

God designed humans to be in His image and due to sin, we struggle. That struggle can often cause us to lose hope in ourselves, those around us, and even in our futures. Scripture describes Christ as our source of hope.

We can learn many different techniques and coping skills throughout the counseling process; however, Christ is our true source of hope. Hope allows us to have confidence that God, who began a good work in us, will complete it.

    Purpose:

Ephesians 1:11-12 (MSG) “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for…he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.”

God created each and every one of us with a specific purpose. As we work together in therapy we can lean into His promise, He has a purpose for you.
